Daniel d’Avoine (modern; Daniyyel Dav-1) also know as the Graphics Tramp. I’m a Motion Graphics Artist by trade, with interests in anything creative. Born and raised on the Channel Island Jersey living by the sea. I went to Plymouth University where I achieved a First Degree BA in Media Arts and have been working in the media industry since.
After graduating and many years of working as a baggage handler (thrower) at Jersey Airport, I joined Spike Productions in 2008. Here I worked as the Graphics Artist, focusing on 2D and 3D animations, as well as working on creatives, some video edits, the company's website and social media sites. Whilst at Spike I spent nearly 6 months working out in Dubai working closely with our Middle Eastern clients. After the Company was bought out by the PBS Group, I continued to work on similar projects as well as Broadcast television programs and feature films at PBS Broadcast. Here I have advanced in my role to cover the creative out put of the whole company.
I've worked on various projects for many clients globally in various different industries. These projects include local and national TV commercials, corporate videos and web tv programs, with one project (for the Hacked Off campaign) being projected on the side of the Houses of Parliament. See examples in the video and still work sections.
I mainly work using the Adobe Creative Suite package, specialising in After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier, InDesign and Encore. For my 3D work I use Maxon's Cinema 4D. Along side these I also have experience using FCP and Avid.
Outside of work I try to fill my time with as much as possible. I spend a bit of my time taking photos and creating short videos. I love sport and mainly football and rugby, and play 5-a-side football. I'm a keen runner, triathlete and rower, participating in many races throughout the year. Not forgetting kayaking, cycling, swimming and spending too much time in the CrossFit box.
